This is clinical work for people who've run out of road with conventional approaches.

Some transitions don't yield to technique. They require time, witness, and a different kind of conversation — one that doesn't rush toward resolution or pretend the discomfort means something went wrong.

Threshold Therapy is individual work for people navigating the terrain between what was and what's next. I work with people in serious life transitions: identity shifts that have outpaced their social world, vocational reinventions that don't have a name yet, relationships that have changed shape, meaning-making crises that can't be managed with better habits.

This is narrative therapy in the deepest sense — not technique, but a sustained orientation toward the stories you're living inside, the ones that have outlived their usefulness, and the ones that want to be born. It draws equally on twenty years of clinical practice, Zen training, and a long study of how people navigate passage.

What This Looks Like

Sessions are 50 minutes, typically weekly in-person or via secure video. The work is rigorous and relational. We make your current story visible, locate what's been absent but implicit, and build the conditions for something new to emerge — not as a project, but as a practice.

Who It's For

You might be a creative whose practice has hit a wall that creativity alone can't solve. An entrepreneur who built something and now doesn't know what the next chapter is supposed to look like. A leader who is competent by every external measure and privately uncertain about whether any of it means what it used to. Someone who has survived something and is trying to figure out what that survival is for.

If you are looking for symptom management, behavioral strategies, or someone to tell you that everything will be fine, there are excellent therapists who can help with that. This work is for people who are willing to stay with the harder question.
